ATAA seeks bright, energetic undergraduate or graduate students who possess native-level English fluency, and have a general understanding of Turkey and Turkish-American relations and issues. We welcome full- and part-time applicants. It is assumed that interns will be able to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week during normal office hours and occasionally as necessary outside those hours.

Our small office in the heart of Washington, DC is the perfect place for interns to gain a wide range of experience and have contact with key political thinkers, policy makers, organizations, activists and community leaders in Washington and across the United States. It is a great opportunity for interns to gain a broad understanding of non-profit operation and their role in shaping the debate around key issues in the Turkish-American community.

ATAA was co-founded by the American Turkish Association of Washington and the Maryland American Turkish Association in an effort to create a national organization representing the Turkish American community. The Assembly is an influential and fast growing civic organization that pursues the interests of Turkish Americans and friends of Turkey in Washington and beyond, as well as contributes to the strengthening of relations between the United States and Turkey.

Interested applicants should forward a cover letter, recent resume, and three references by October 5, 2007 to:
