President's Report on ATAA Delegates Meeting

I am pleased to report to the Members of the ATAA and our Component Association Affiliate Members regarding ATAA the Delegates Meeting of June 13, 2009.

The Assembly of Delegates (AOD) meeting included the Independent Election Monitor's Report certifying that the elections were conducted in accordance with ATAA Bylaws, Policy and Procedures Manual, and DC law. In addition, the AOD meeting included a Financial Audit report certifying that the financial administration of the ATAA was in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Furthermore, the AOD meeting included a report of the ATAA General Counsel regarding the final stages of the litigation, which was settled on September 9, 2008. Finally, the AOD approved the ATAA's 2009 and 2010 Budgets, as well as accepted two new component organizations, the Turkish American Association of Alabama and the Turkish American Business Association (TABA), which has over 600 corporate members.

Finally, the AOD meeting also included the approval of the 2009 and 2010 budgets conditionally upon the endorsement of the board of trustees.
