ATAA Concludes 2010 Elections & Welcomes
New Board Members


At the Assembly of Delegates Meeting of July 18, 2010, in Washington DC, the ATAA concluded the 2010 Elections process with the acceptance of the new members of the Board of Directors. The election ballots were received by the ATAA office, verified to be ballots submitted by actual and paid members of the ATAA, and counted in accordance with the ATAA Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual.

There were five Board of Directors positions up for election in 2010. I am pleased to report the results of the elections, including the percentage of votes received by the winners, as follows:

Treasurer - Esra Ugurlu (51%)
VP Mid-Central Region - Feridun Bek (72%)
VP Northwestern Region - Sevgi Baran (95%)
VP Southwestern Region - Sibel Pakdemirli (93%)
VP Western Region - Maria Cakiraga (94%)

The ATAA and the Nominations Committee would like to thank all candidates and members who participated in the elections process. The two-year terms of the newly elected Board of Directors members commenced on July 18, 2010, and will end on July 18, 2012.
