Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion (TEMA) was founded by Hayrettin Karaca and A. Nihat Gökyiğit  in 1992 to address erosion and drought problems in Turkey. ATAA understands the importance of trees in our environment and makes efforts to improve conditions by planting trees. In 2020, ATAA planted 100 trees in the Eskişehir Kayı-2 Memorial Forest.
