Zerrin Bulut is a Sociology adjunct at DePaul University in Chicago. She has an MA in Critical Ethnic Studies as well as an MA in Curriculum and Instruction. Zerrin is interested in the intersections of race & ethnicity, and more specifically the factors influencing ethnic preservation & connectedness among second-generation immigrants in the United States. She has served in Chicago area Turkish nonprofits, as well as worked in local mutual aid networks to support newly arrived migrant populations. Zerrin’s work is centered on authentic representation and advocacy both in her personal and professional life. She is currently working on projects to support and amplify Turkish representation in the Chicago area.
