October 23, 2024, Alexandria, VA – The Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA) strongly condemns the deadly terrorist attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TUSAS) facility near Ankara, Türkiye, which claimed the lives of 5 people and wounded 22 others on Wednesday.
The ATAA extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured as a result of this atrocious act. The ATAA remembers all Turkish military and law enforcement personnel who have sacrificed their lives to fight terror, and conveys its deepest sympathies and respects to their families.
The ATAA underlines the need to bring perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism to justice and urges all countries, in accordance with their obligations under international law to cooperate actively with Türkiye and all other relevant authorities in this regard.
