ATAA UN Related Announcement# 24

ATAA United Nations Committee is inviting Turkish American and Turkish Canadian students from middle and high schools to prepare and present points of discussions on important issues that help maintain Peace and Development using Türkiye as the example country. The participating students will be able to reference their United Nations activities in their resumes and college applications.

World Science Day for Peace and Development highlights the significant role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public in debates on emerging scientific issues.

World Science Day for Peace and Development aims to ensure that citizens are kept informed of developments in science. It also underscores the role scientists play in broadening our understanding of the remarkable, fragile planet we call home and in making our societies more sustainable.

The panel discussion subjects are listed below. Participants will pick a topic and prepare a seven minute Power Point presentation to relay their message. The ATAA UN Committee will select one presentation in each subject to be included in the program. However, all participants will receive certificates.

The ATAA UN Committee will provide guidance, help and information, if needed, to the students during their preparation.
