On Behalf of Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA), we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to ATAA members and friends for responding to the ATAA 2017 Building and Endowments Funds Drive. With their steadfast commitment and generous donations, we were able to raise more than $160,000 for ATAA funds in early 2018. We would like to appeal to the generosity of our donors and to our members one more time for the last fund-raising drive of this year.
Between now and December 31, we are asking for continued support from our members and friends to raise funds that we need to take on the responsibilities of the year ahead.
It is our mission to create cohesion and cooperation between the large number of social/cultural Turkish American organizations around the U.S. and to be their respected voice in the nation’s capital. The Assembly’s main goal is to link Turkish-American communities, large or small, and pursue their interests in Washington and beyond. The main objectives of ATAA are two-fold. One is to create an informed Turkish American community that can help foster U.S. – Turkey relations and take an active part in promoting a balanced and truthful picture of Turkey in the U.S.
We hope that you will be able to take part in one or more of the many exciting events that we are planning for this and the next year.
In order to meet our mission and provide services for our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals like you. Without your assistance, we would not be able to serve our community. As an organization staffed entirely by volunteers, ATAA will continue to work hard, reflect our community’s shared values for democracy, Republic and freedom of speech, and hopes to expand the scope and number of activities for community building.
