The Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA) is planning a special conference to celebrate its 40th anniversary on October 5, 2019.
We will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of Atatürk’s historic landing in Samsun, which marked the beginning of the Turkish Independence War, and eventually, founding of our modern Turkish Republic against the backdrop of a collapsing Ottoman Empire.
The Anniversary Conference will bring ATAA leaders, members, community leaders and friends to highlight the role of the ATAA and Turkish-American diaspora across the United States.
The details including conference location, hotel reservation; conference program, guest speakers and keynote speakers will be announced soon.

Since its inception in 1979 as an umbrella organization, ATAA has played a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting local Turkish American associations, presenting a balanced view of Turkey and Turkish people, keeping alive our Turkish culture and heritage, and enhancing the good relations between Turkey and the USA.
